Hello everyone,
there seems to be an issue described in a reddit post here https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/9pr9zn/recent_discover_updates_irreparably_broke_my/. I've left a comment below with my test results, but going to post them here anyways; update was performed 20.10.2018 UTC+2. After that, SDDM would crash 2-3 seconds after showing up and the only way to start is to login to shell and startx. uname -a
System information
sudo lshw -c video
glxinfo | grep OpenGL
sudo journalctl --utc -b | grep sddm
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libexec/kscreenlocker_greet --testing
I've already tried running: sudo rm -fr /var/lib/sddm/.cache/sddm-greeter/qmlcache - no help sudo pkcon refresh && sudo pkcon update - nothing to update sudo apt dist-upgrade - no help sudo apt-get install -f - no help Anyone has any ideas how to fix this ? Thank you |

I have the same issue, seems to need to recompile some parts with newer qt according to error report. I think just waiting for next update.
