Hello,
I got this error just now at the end of today's update (7.30 in the morning here in New Zealand):

Code: Select all
Fatal error: Error while installing package: trying to overwrite '/etc/xdg/kio.categories', which is also in package kio 5.52.0+p18.04+git20181123.0138-0

I am unsure if the entire process had actually finished as I use:

Code: Select all
pkcon update -y

The command obfuscates the whole installation process and anyway I was already checking something else on Firefox.
I am so accustomed to the process always completing successfully that I almost fell off my chair when I saw the words FATAL ERROR.

Anyone else see the message recently?

cheers

Hi,
same to me.

I closed Konsole, opened Muon (I could see the only non-updated kio package), gave a refresh and an update. Everything automagically solved for me. :)

Thanks for the notice, we're merging some packages with Debian so files move around which is quite faffy to handle in .deb packages. These should be fixed now, let us know if you find any others.
