I'm having an issue that I have had zero luck diagnosing... basically, once a day or so, my cursor randomly freezes in the middle of normal usage. Restarting it makes it go back to normal. There are no error messages, and no consistent trigger/pattern of events that prompts these freezes. Searching online has not turned up any really relevant info, so I have no idea what's causing it.
Someone on another forum suggested running dmesg. I did so right after the freeze happened last time and the last lines in the log were the following (in red): " [24725.574774] [drm:intel_pipe_update_end [i915]] ERROR Atomic update failure on pipe A (start=218669 end=218670) time 168 us, min 763, max 767, scanline start 761, end 769 [27720.147201] [drm:intel_pipe_update_end [i915]] ERROR Atomic update failure on pipe A (start=398262 end=398263) time 140 us, min 763, max 767, scanline start 762, end 768" My setup is KDE Neon 5.14.4 on a ASUS C300SA Chromebook (Intel Braswell). Any ideas on how to fix this, or even where to look, would be much appreciated. |

Are you using a cordless mouse? If so, most likely the battery is low! Also have you tried a different mouse?
