hi. im having a problem after upgrading from kde neon 16.04 to neon 18.04? i dual boot with windows.
whenever booting into linux i get this message with a black screen ' No symbol table. Press any key to continue '
after googling i found a potential solution on this site( see the answer by rafael sowhat)
https://askubuntu.com/questions/837035/no-symbol-table-press-any-key-to-continue/1100501#1100501
however im totally confused about what to put in as my device name.
i have uploaded a pic of my partition table. https://i.stack.imgur.com/25Qwc.png
i dont know what to put in as my 'device' ?

this or any other solution would be most appreciated. thank you

Based on the picture of your partition table the device name would be /dev/sda
