I installed Neon a few months back. The sharing options in Spectacle were working just fine. I don't know if it was the result of an apt autoremove or what, but suddenly about a month and a half ago, all the sharing options stopped working.

I was getting the following output any time I tried using one of the sharing features in Spectacle (such as Imgur)

Code: Select all
QQmlApplicationEngine failed to load component
qrc:/JobDialog.qml:21 module "org.kde.purpose" is not installed

void Purpose::MenuPrivate::trigger(int) object is NULL at m_engine QQmlApplicationEngine(0x560a8dc88510) rootObjects= ()

Code: Select all
apt install qml-module-org-kde-purpose
fixes the problem, but I'm not sure how or why it got removed in the first place. I'm unsure if it's a packaging issue of some sort or just weirdness with qml modules, but I figured I'd mention it.

So, I guess if anyone else is having that problem... there's your fix. Otherwise just a heads up to the maintainers if there might be something you can do on your end to prevent that from happening.
