kde neon. User for a couple of weeks.
My sys tray update notifier tells me there are two updates, but neither Discover, muon, apt updgrade or sudo pkcon refresh && pkcon update agree. They all say 0 updates.
How do I reset the systray notifier?
thanks, TIm

Try this, and see if it goes away after the update.
sudo apt update
sudo apt full-upgrade

I bet they are snap or appimage updates, which would not be handled by apt, etc.
What is it showing to be updated?

There is nothing in the apt queue:

tim@moncrief:~$ sudo apt full-upgrade
[sudo] password for tim:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Calculating upgrade... Done
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.

and Discover itself says it has nothing to be updated.
There doesn't seem to be any command line option to plasma-discover which lists updates.

Again, the 2 update programs gimp-gmic gmic , the plasma-discoveri show but the update button is invisible.
Apt says these are the two update packages, if the plasma writers are upgrading and has a snap and flatpak and appimage module, it is not important what kind of package is. The packages gimp-gmic gmic are specific to the ppa.

To prove there is something to update Discoveri for 5 minutes
#sudo apt update
#sudo apt full-upgrade
update gimp-gmic gmic

I think the problem was two flatpak updates the the notifier was telling me about, but discover was not seeing.

Here is the most recently manual attempt to update via apt, snap and flatpak.
There were two updates detected and processed by the flatpak step.

(apt .... the last few lines, same result as always: nothing to do)

snap:

tim@moncrief:~$ snap refresh
All snaps up to date.
