Is Neon RR Distribution? After a couple of days Neon got plasma 5.15.0, now I'm watching the plasma version now is 5.15.1.
User Edition64-bit Featuring the latest officially released KDE software on a stable base. Ideal for everyday users. I confused RR distribution does not have such a huge update every day |

So the duration cycle is 7 days, and when the version reaches number 5.15.5, the new version 5.16.0 comes out. This turns out to be not a RR distribution than a double RR

Bug Fixes coming onto Your computer
in the fastest possible way is great. If You don't like it: There are LongTermSupport versions, too. But I prefer the timely update schedule following the release-announcements. One of KDE neon's goals is to get their newest version into the users' hands. Because in the past, other distributions let users wait too long, and didn't offer all fixes in a timely manner. This was bad for KDE's reputation. Even if they were innocent, people said KDE was responsible. This had to stop. Therefore: KDE neon. Another goal is to competely and fully show-casing what's on offer from KDE. |

Hi,
I have installed KDE Neon in my desktop at work, but I have installed Manjaro KDE Plasma on my laptop. KDE Neon brings the Plasma KDE updates faster but I did not see big differences with the Manjaro KDE Plasma updates, which come a bit latter. The point is which distro you prefer between Ubuntu LTS model and Manjaro, in the last DE it is recommended to install at least two kernels because any stable update could fail. It is not a big problem and has the advantage that you can use the latest recommended stable kernel, and Ubuntu does not have this implemented yet. Oh, maybe a little bit with the latest Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS update that comes with 4.18 linux-kernel. I could say that working in a network environment I prefer Ubuntu, but Manjaro community far superior than this forum. No offense, please. Regards, |

@NoNameNoBlame,
I would not agree with this statement, a concrete example is Discover, which had to wait for the release of version 5.14. so when the repair failed, the release of version 5.15.0 was expected because version 5.14.5 was the maximum version that was set. I've read such an explanation. Today, I just had to rectify the themes again and cancel the blur from the login screen, I do not want it, and many people I know, adding a blur effect are just additional instructions and complications. I wrote but every update SDDM deleted the Xsetup file content in which my setup was set for 2 monitors. The problem is that I do not have a GPU with two HDMI outputs and in order to get a login screen on the monitor, I have to setup in Xsetup that currently off HDMI and the login image goes to DVI monitor. The LTS version does not exist on the official download page: https://neon.kde.org/download If you do not hate go to facebook page and read 2 bad news. Regards,

@j8a
I would not agree with that statement, because I have Manjaro and just a testing version and the unstable version has the latest files like the Neon distro and with a little delay. Normal version although Manjaro RR distribution is waiting for update at least 7-10 days. Regards,
