Unable to launch a new issue of VLC , after a first time.
A conflict with something else ?
Need to reboot to clear the problem, but the second launching of VLC always fail.

could you start VLC via the command line and post the output?

If I used the command line it works every time.
I observed if I modified the command line from the menu :
/usr/bin/vlc --started-from-file %U to /usr/bin/vlc %U
it works perfectly.
in that case the video player is not loaded in video included in internet pages;
