Hello,

I am unable to update my installation anymore (user edition). pkcon update complains that:

Code: Select all
Fatal error: The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  kwin-common: Depends: kwin-data (= 4:5.15.0-0xneon+18.04+bionic+build27) but 4:5.15.1-0xneon+18.04+bionic+build28 is to be installed

For some reason, the archive.neon.kde.org repository/URL is not showing up in pkcon.

Using apt or Discover is even worse, it wants to remove neon-desktop and plasma-desktop and a lot of other things to "repair" stuff.

Using curl gets the right files, but apt can't for some reason.

The nice people on IRC said the following:
I can tell you with almost absolute certainty that something is causing you to get old files served when apt is downloading them. somehow this only affects apt though, which makes no sense. if it was a CDN problem you'd at the latest after that curl command should be getting the up-to-date file as curl received the correct file (IOW if it was a cache problem the fact that curl got the right file would indicate that
[17:27] <sitter> the cache rotate and apt should get it too; seeing as that is not the case I doubt this is actually a problem on our end)

Any ideas?

$ aptitude why kwin-data
kwin-common Depends kwin-data (= 4:5.15.1-0xneon…

I was doing pkcon refresh before.
I have no idea what has changed but the issue is gone now, all by itself. Perhaps the mirrors I was using wasn't updated?

Please, mark Your last posting
("I accept this answer"),
if You think this is a/the solution.

Then others can find some solutions, too.
And not only seemingly unsolved answers.

But You alone decide.
If You don't want to, then don't do it.
