KDE Neon Nvidia driver

Mon Mar 04, 2019 4:36 am
Hi guys. I have an asus gl502vmk which has a nvidia 1060m on it. When I installed kde neon stable developers edition, at first it was responding very well and very fast while it was using the default nouveau driver and take into consideration that I just installed it and did not alter any changes in grub settings. But, when I installed nvidia-390 driver using "sudo ubuntu-drivers autoinstall" command and rebooted the system, it installed nvidia-xserver and changed the graphic driver to nvidia, but the resolution on this had a little problem. Not only in the display but also in the x-server settings it showed that the resolution was 1920*1080& but it was not only super big, but also it was unbearably lagging. So I tried the "sudo apt-get purge nvidia*" command, it fixed the resolution but the lagging didn't go away. Please guys help me if you can. the first time I installed kde neon was the first I didn't see my laptop not lagging on a linux distro.
