I had about 13 or so packages updated. It included Kernel so after reboot I discovered that the desktop is slightly borked.

Eg:
The wallpaper covers only a small corner in the top-right corner of the screen.
The desktop doesn't re-paint areas outside of this unless there is a running app.

Until earlier this week power-devil was broken for about 3 weeks or more. That was a pain.

Seems though that switching between single and multi-monitor mode has become more sane in the last 3 weeks. Yay for that.

Hmmmm, perhaps that was "just a glitch" because I rebooted again and now all seems fine.
