"lovely" people:
https://media.ccc.de/v/910-kde-neon#t=0 ![]() what's wrong with opensuse? unfriendly, arrogant and obviously annoyed that you didn't use opensuse as a base. personal fact based on immediate and long os - experience: kde on opensuse was/is a disaster on some of my systems (and that's an opensuse-thing) - thanks to the - sorry - imho messed up base. at the present time you have made the right choice with ubuntu, even though i am not a canonical fan (privacy-reasons). but: better keep everything as simple as possible than with on-the-edge-distro-technology as a foundation, which is always only (badly) experimental (kubic, transactional-updates, et cetera) and - as i said before - bloated up & full of gaps. on hybris follows nemesis. even for os, which is lightyears away from experimental but even more stable & on-the-edge-distros like fedora silverblue (would there not the takeover by ibm, which makes this distro ethically impossible to use). annoying video (especially the part where it is argued that opensuse would be sensitive to users, kde neon only half or not at all). If you take a closer look at the facts and the respective communities, the situation is exactly the opposite. kde neon is the most stable system i ever used. you make the right decisions. and a kernel update is always possible:
which was necessary in my case, because the touchpad was not recognized before this simple kernel update. plz stay simple, plz stay minimalistic (in a very special context). mart |
