I installed KDE Neon a while ago now, and it's been a very pleasant experience!

I have Windows 1809 on my disk, and I like that one a lot, but since college I've always liked to have a separate installation. It's just a nice switch to flick in the mind.
I'm well versed in all the Linuxy stuff, but I have the rule of not touching the terminal on the on-disk laptop installation (else I'll never leave it and never use the OS). So it's really nice that I can type in 'mouse' and turn down the acceleration (who wants that anyway?) and that the installer successfully installed the WiFi drivers, and that emoji work.

While avoiding the terminal, I do still configure the desktop, don't worry! I set the wallpaper to the 'Bing' option, which reminds me of the same settings on those old Windows Phone devices which I sorely miss in my iPhone. And the holiday feature of the calendar is amazing! That's probably my favourite feature on any computer!

There are a few annoying little paper cuts, like when you set the animation speed to instant, the start menu doesn't care. And the default picture is nice, but I prefer a default more along the lines of Windows 10 (I changed it to a penguin). Firefox is called "Custom definition for Firefox", and there are a few too many things you have to do to make things "English, but not US English". I also wonder if my small partition will fill up with old update files like you had with ancient Debian installations so you had to apt-get clean, but I haven't run into that so seems good!

So yes it's been really cool! Keep up the great work and let me know if I can do anything!
