Hi guys,

I deleted "Wired connection 1" under Networks settings, and now I'm not able to use cable internet. I tried to add manually with default settings "Wired connection", but nothing happened.

Tried to change
sudo gedit /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf
[ifupdown]
managed=true

From False but with no success.

How I can restore the network manager settings to default.

Thanks in advance.

My nephew said :) :

I opened "Networks", than "Configure network connections", than I saw "Wired connection 1" press right button and deleted it. When asked why - he thought that somehow he created this configuration weeks ago :)

Now I'm not able to use wired connection ..

I see.

Now: You obviously know, how it was deleted.
Therefore: What exactly do ==>You<== do,
when You (without success) try to recreate
it from the same dialogue-windows, where it
was deleted before?

Does Your new connection appear under "active" or
"available" connections? If under "available":
What happens, when You click "connect"?

The data needed to help You ==> is missing <==.

1/3 What do You do/try?
2/3 What do You expect to happen?
3/3 What happens instead?

I Tried to create new "Whired Ethernet" connection. Nothing is happening when I plug in the Internet cable - just "loading".

Than I tried to restart the computer while the cable is plugged in - it showed this error:

"wired interface (enp3s0) IP configuration was unavailable"

1) Open Terminal-Window.

2) Use:
$ sudo nmtui

3) Report, what happens.

Edit: And always
leave the cable plugged in
during (re-)configuration!!!

launcher-> check "network interfaces" -> if all previous eth0 were down.
then, launcher-> check "advanced network configuration" -> "+" symbol to create -> select ethernet -> use default settings or add anything needed.
try the connection. done.
