Hello,
I just got a brand new Dell XPS 15 9570. I'm trying to install KDE Neon on it. I successfully created a LiveUSB, disabled Secure Boot. When I select my thumb drive as a boot device I get a black screen with

If everything You wrote is really a fact,
and You did everything like the instructions told You regarding how to create a install-USB, then: --- Check Dell firmware-setup (F2) again. Especially harddisk-related stuff (EFI-Boot, AHCI-Controller, NVMe etc.) Maybe, USB-booting is forbidden by admin-settings. Easiest Test: Put USB into other machine, and try there, whether it works at all. Okay: Something else: Before installing on Dell: Set POST-Testing to "complete"/"long"/"full" test Addition: When Booting from USB (F8 or F12 or similar), there may be 2 USB-boot entries. Choose the right one. |

I have the same exact issue, also on a 9570. It doesn't even get to the bootloader, so there's no way to change any kernel parameters.
