Hello Guys,

i wanted to bring this to your attention.
i was playing a game on Proton only using my controller and my screen starts locking.
is there a way to implement such a checking program in KDE Neon that checks if input is detected.

the only workaround is the program called "caffeine"

there are many people with this problem and no real solution

I hope you guys can implement this in an update of some sorts.

Another workaround would be to use a separate stay-awake Activity which is configured under System Settings -> Power Management -> Activity Settings to Never shutdown the screen or Never suspend or shutdown the computer.

I'd recommend filing a request to bugs.kde.org to update Plasma to respect controller (or other) input when deciding when it needs to take energy saving measures as that seems like it should already be a thing.
