Hello Guys,
i wanted to bring this to your attention. i was playing a game on Proton only using my controller and my screen starts locking. is there a way to implement such a checking program in KDE Neon that checks if input is detected. the only workaround is the program called "caffeine" there are many people with this problem and no real solution https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam- ... ssues/1693 https://www.reddit.com/r/archlinux/comm ... ng_with_a/ https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... +bug/30378 I hope you guys can implement this in an update of some sorts. |

Another workaround would be to use a separate stay-awake Activity which is configured under System Settings -> Power Management -> Activity Settings to Never shutdown the screen or Never suspend or shutdown the computer.
I'd recommend filing a request to bugs.kde.org to update Plasma to respect controller (or other) input when deciding when it needs to take energy saving measures as that seems like it should already be a thing.
