Hi everyone,

I am using up to date Neon 5.16 and when I click on choose file input on any webpage in Firefox (67.0.2 atm) nothing happens and I see following error in console:

Code: Select all
Can't open portal file chooser: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.freedesktop.portal.Desktop was not provided by any .service files

You can test your Firefox here: https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml5_input_type_file

Does anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions on how to fix it?

P.S. Chromium works fine.

Thanks.

Same thing here, just updated and found that problem.
Googling around found unrelated problems with same solution:
Try installing xdg-desktop-portal (I already had xdg-desktop-portal-kde installed, maybe you need it too)
Code: Select all
sudo pkcon install xdg-desktop-portal
Solved for me, does not even need to restart anything.
