The Discover tool should allow you to install snap versions of apps (as well as debs using the distro's tools). If you look it up the app in the Installed section of Discover, does it show a button to Launch the app? (I assume it should at least show up as it should be interrogating the snap tools to find out what snaps have been installed or are available).
