On my installation of Neon, "s" and "o" regularly become unusable. I can't seem to tell exactly when it happens, but I usually experience it when I return to work in the morning, after locking my screen, or connecting to my Neon machine via remote desktop software.
I can still type uppercase "S" and "O" by pressing shift, and other combinations (Ctrl+S, Ctrl+O for Save/Open respectively). It is not a hardware issue and xev still registers keypresses for "s" and "o". I cannot find anywhere where these are bound to a shortcut in the global shortcut settings. However, the issue is (temporarily, until it recurs) solved when I bind any action to one of the offending keys, then hit apply, then clear the binding, then apply again. Is there any solution for this? This has persisted through restarts and upgrades for probably most of 2019. It's really reducing my enjoyment of an otherwise amazing DE. |
