Double Partitions

URGENT - SEEING DOUBLE

Uncertain as to what I did to cause this. Now all my non-OS drives and
partitions show up twice, once as they should be and again with "1"
after each. So an original partition was labeled BLUE, now there is
also a BLUE1. This happened to all partitions and to two external USB
hard drives - which haven't even been plugged in for several days.

I tried using KDE Partition Manager (KPM) to unmount the various
partitions and then edit their mount points to their named mount points,
i.e. BLUE to BLUE and not BLUE1. Because the Info of KPM claims the
mount point of these partitions are the ones with the "1" - BLUE1, not
BLUE. That had no effect. All these "1" partitions do not show up on
the normal table display of partitions, only when you select Info for
individual partitions. The Info indicates that the mount point for BLUE
is BLUE1 with the status of being mounted at that point -- only the
Label field lists the correct "BLUE".

Obviously, this has stopped my doing much on the machine as files now
try to find the "1" partitions. An example is an apps like Cpod and
Lollypop cannot save to their folders within BLUE, because they cannot
be selected only BLUE1 can be, but it is empty or simply a tag claiming
to be a real partition, but with no folders inside - the app acts the
same as it has if BLUE hadn't been mounted. But it is mounted, just
showing up as BLUE1 and BLUE.

sudo blkid, does only list one version, the original non "1" PARTUUID
for each partition - the same UUID as indicated in KPM's Info panel.

I will appreciate help in resolving this issue versus, randoming the
Neon drive and starting a complete new install. I would like to be busy
working right now, but I cannot risk files not ending up where they
should be or having to restructure essential apps and their settings
(assuming that doesn't duplicate also) to use a temporary drive. If I
cannot get simple audio apps to function properly I won't be doing
anything useful on it until this is resolved.

Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
