So, I'm not quite sure what I did to it, likely adding a broken repository and removing it, but Discover crashes every time I open it.
I tried using the automated reporting system, but it seems no matter how many tools and back-end **** I install and run, there is never enough data to submit a bug-report, and besideswhich, it's probably my own damn fault. So, is there a file I can tweak, or rename so that I can open up discover and update again, or am I going to end up reinstalling everything? |

Let me guess, you are using Neon?
This has already been reported, keep an eye on this bug: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411286
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

I'm guessing you didn't check the forum for similar problems before posting?
viewtopic.php?f=309&t=162436 sudo pkcon update is a short-term fix which will allow you to install the latest updates, but it will not stop Discover crashing completely untill the developers find a permanent fix. Fixed: viewtopic.php?f=309&t=162436&start=15#p422605

Sorry, the short-term fix sudo pkon update does not help in my case.
And neither do the other suggested "solutions" in the other threads and on the bugreport-site. Discover crashes although I applied all "solutions" so far. I will post in the other thread from now on. |
