When I start KMail, I get the main window and an error message in the middle that says :
Clicking on details doesn't seem to do anything. Searching for akonadi in the Application Launcher doesn't yield any application results besides akonadimailreader. In Applications > Settings > System Settings there's no result searching for akonadi. Where do I go from here ? |

I had this again recently and it required me to delete my akonadi cache and then it was fine again
rm -rf ~/.local/share/akonadi |

When starting kmail from the command line, I can see that akonadi can't connect to mysql.
The same errors are logged in the akonadi error log Akonadi.error
I wonder why it couldn't connect to the database. /usr/sbin/mysqld is there, but there's no mysql file in /etc/init.d/
I try to run mysqld from the command line, with sudo
It seems many things are broken on my system, which is a fresh install of neon user 5.17
