My computer froze so I restarted it and now my X server fails to start. I have no clue what else to do, this is what I've tried so far:

- Updated BIOS and the kernel because someone with another problem that was similar solved it that way
- Reinstalled my nvidia drivers, because the journal says something about could not find GPU device.
- Renamed my Xorg.conf file so that it would start with default settings
- Checked my memory for errors
- Checked my ssd for errors
- Tried with another GPU
- Tried manually starting X from ssh (could not find display so that didn't work)
- Started the kernel with various arguments (I think it was noapic noacpi nomodeset)
- Probably more things that I don't remember

Has anyone a solution or some guesses of what might have happened and what to try to fix it?
