Correct is
Code: Select all
GTK_USE_PORTAL=0 _neon.firefox

But that's working only for the file open/save dialogs. Seems that the printing dialog integration is working differently.

But what functionality is missing in the KDE dialog? Maybe it makes more sense to invest time to get this in the KDE dialog or to migrate to an other DE. As KDE user you see the KDE printing dialog in many applications.

As far as I can tell, the OP wants the stock firefox ctrl-p print menu that you get everywhere else, including Kubuntu 18.04, 19.04, and 19,10, and official Firefox downloads, snaps, etc. I am just curious, and am wondering why it is different, and trying to help with what one would think is a simple solution.

Personally, I prefer to have the print preview as the default, but you can only get that using a menu button/option, or adding am extension and doing some manual config edits to have it opened with ctrl-p. But this is a limitation in Firefox, and not related to Plasma or Neon.

I always download Firefox .tar and uninstall the one provided with Neon and purge then extract and install from .tar file. All dialogue boxes work as they should as in the second image posted. Not sure if this is a "hack" but I always have the latest FF stable installed and no waiting for it to be added to repos. I don't recommend this for all but it works for me.

On the old dialog, I don't see any preview except maybe Page Setup (Configuracion de pagina?) tab, but this just shows the dimensions and page ordering. This has been moved to Properties, Page tab. If you are talking about the full preview, you can get there by the Firebox menu (3 horizontal bars) and selecting Print...

Hi

The small print dialog does not have the same options as the FF ESR dialog, for some reason it does not print in the same way using the same print configuration.

Hi,

It's a good idea, but I would like the FF of the repositories to work with the FF ESR preview. (-second image)

Anyway you can place the steps to follow to do the installation from the .tar?

Cheers

Hi

In thunderbird, when pressing ctrl + p, the FF ESR print dialog appears.

In any case, the small FF KDE dialog for some reason does not print the same, even if you use the same configuration
