After a year of a perfectly working Neon installation I had a crash where I had to reinstall. Now when no other audio is playing I get a continuous once per second pulse. What's up with that?

Presently I'm solving the problem by having an app play content in the background while muted.

Interestingly when clicking turning the volume down to zero doesn't affect it.

I find it hard to believe I'm the only one here having this problem.
