Hello, I had this exact OS 5.14.4 installed on this HP Envy laptop and it worked with no issues. Then I installed Windows 10 over the top due to needing to run Windows software for my job. I figured I'd try windows full on since I had been a Linux Only user since the release of WinTrash 8. Well, I got a different laptop to run my work apps on and am trying to reinstall Neon from the same disk I originally used. It worked fine the last run and now all I get is a black screen with the cursor. Nothing else comes up.
I also never changed any of the boot options. I checked it and am currently running in legacy. What could be wrong and how do I get this going again? If you can get to the TTY screen (Ctrl+Alt+F2) and can log in, these commands may solve the problem:
Currently running KDE Neon 5.22.5 and 5.19.4 (with Windows 10 in a VM); migrated from Linux Mint 17.3

I cannot. It locks up as soon as the cursor appears, though I can move the cursor. |

I just tried reinstalling without updating and it does the same thing. But I got a couple of PCIe Bus errors.
I don't get it... I had this exact OS running before and like I said... I've changed Nothing in my bios. |

Try a fresh install using Neon 5.17.4, it might solve your problem.
Acer Aspire TC-120 Desktop. 8GB RAM.
