Hi,
i have a laptop with an intel hd and an nvidia graphics card. my question is, after i installed the third party drivers, i have the nvidia 435 driver installed i think. works great. but my question is: does kde neon now only use my nvidia card? is my intel hd not active at all or does it goes both ways like in windows where intel hd is used for "smaller" stuff and nvida for the "heavy" stuff like gaming? |

Switching graphic cards is a WIndows-only proprietary solution AFAICT. With Linux you need to switch the active graphic card in the BIOS last I checked (with a Lenovo laptop)
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
