I was surfing the internet normally when KDE froze. Only a few functions worked. I thought, I'm going to reboot and everything will be back to normal. My mistake, even after rebooting, even after turning off the machine, always after the bug KDE NEON is freezing when KDE starts the desktop.

You need to provide a much more detailed report if you want help. Think about it from a third parties point of view. You said some functions worked some didn't, which did and which didn't ? A good rule of thumb for reporting problems is when you think you've finished writing a bug report, review it, then start adding all the things you forgot to mention, and then some.

Ok, I'm sorry, I don't speak English, I'm using Google translator sometimes I feel harmed that I can't explain in my mother tongue all the details involved. ![]() KDE freezes almost completely after starting right after the login screen. I can open the SYSTEM ACTIVITIES manager to launch some applications like Konsole, Opera, System Monitor. I noticed that the application "plasmashell" is locked in 25% CPU consumption, in the image you can see that the application is alternating between CPU 1, CPU 2, CPU 3 and CPU 4, always using 100% when placed on it. The fans in my office are a little bit accelerated because of that I think. Anyway, I don't know what I can do anymore, I've already switched plasmashell application priority, already closed and restarted, already turned off, already unplugged, I think I've done almost everything to try to solve, I think it has to be a more technical solution because the basic I think I've done everything. ![]() |

Do you have enough space on your /home ?
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

GET SOLVE THE PROBLEM!!!!
![]() ![]() ![]() I ran the command: systemsettings5 And I just changed the theme from Breeze to Dark Breeze and it immediately went back to work, then I ended the session and started again and everything went back 100%. I think it might have been a custom icon pack. Not sure, the Global Theme was White Breeze. |
