Hey guys, just added KDE neon as my third OS on a Triple Boot laptop, HP Pavilion dv6t-3000.
- Windows 10 - Mint's 18.3 KDE - KDE neon. When booting up after install I don't see Mint's KDE, which is alright as I think that is an easy fix. But KDE neon does not allow me to log in, the password simply does not work? I wondered if it is the name I assigned to the account: 'dv6t3000', which is very similar to what Linux might see the os as, in my view of things. I also don't know anything about neon yet, not even what I use instead of sudo, apt, etc. Can someone lead me in the right direction to do so? Okay, found one thing I saw the other day: pkcon refresh and pkcon update But what about installing packages etc. So it looks to me like sudo apt install package name still works? I also see that I may need to use 'snap' How to install LibreOffice on KDE Neon https://snapcraft.io/install/libreoffice/kde-neon I assume you guys are in agreement with that? Please help me get neon working! |

I should have also stated that the neon install was done with Yumi on an MBR Disk of course. Maybe I should not have used Yumi but I've been using it with Ubuntu based distro's for quite a while now.
EDIT: All fixed now, thanks anyway! |
