Unable to boot liveUSB - USB issues

Sat Jan 25, 2020 4:33 pm
Hello,
I have a custom build PC and I tried to install KDE Neon onto it, but I am stuck at live USB bootup screen. The errors I get are listed below:
Code: Select all
nouveau 0000:01:00.0: bus: MMIO write of 80000122 FAULT at 10eb14
usb 3-3: device descriptor read/64, error -32
usb 4-1: device descriptor read/64, error -32
usb 7-3: device descriptor read/64, error -32
usb 4-2: device descriptor read/64, error -32
usb usb3-port3: unable to enumerate USB device
usb usb4-port1: unable to enumerate USB device
usb usb7-port3: unable to enumerate USB device
usb usb3-port4: unable to enumerate USB device
usb usb3-port4: unable to enumerate USB device
usb 4-1: device not accepting address 4, error -32
usb 4-1: device not accepting address 5, error -32
usb 7-3: device not accepting address 4, error -32
usb 4-2: device not accepting address 8, error -32
usb 4-2: device not accepting address 9, error -32
usb usb4-port3: Cannot enable. Maybe the USB cable is bad?
usb 3-4: device descriptor read/64, error -110

(initramfs) Unable to find a medium containing a live file system

Sometimes the last message does not appear and the system actually boots, but with USB devices not working.
I have tried with multiple other distros (Ubuntu 19.10, Debian 10, Manjaro, MX Linux) and other USB sticks and the same problem appears. Windows 10, however, installs and boots just fine.
I am not knowledgeable about the the technicalieties of Linux, despite having used it at home for ages now, so I am very thankful for any kind of support from more experienced users.

Hi,
You know what, it worked. I changed all the settings in the 'Peripherals' section of the BIOS to 'enabled' and it did the trick, the system works fine. Thanks for saving me from Windows ;D
