I have been using kde neon last 4 years
lately i am using a new hp laptop and i can't connect to wifi. QUESTION: how could i download and install the wifi rtl8821ce drivers with usb-drive from another wifi connected laptop so i can then pass them and install them on the non wifi one? i don't have direct access to ethernet connection ... thank you! |

Do you have some linux compatible external usb wifi adapter available? If yes, connect using that and then download/configure the inbuilt wifi adapter...

To download dkms https://ubuntu.pkgs.org/18.04/ubuntu-up ... l.deb.html This worked out fine up ti kernel 5.3 but with kernel 5.4.* could`n installed this driver, i fixed it installing gcc-8 https://ubuntu.pkgs.org/18.04/ubuntu-pr ... 4.deb.html and editing the make file of the driver and changing CC = gcc CC = gcc-8 |
