I was messing around installing new packages and I think I may have uninstalled a package that is necessary for Plasma.

When I boot, I go directly to a shell. I tried running `kstart5 plasmashell` and I get this output:
Code: Select all
qt.qpa.xcb: could not connect to display
qt.qpa.plugin: Could not load the Qt platform plugin plugin "xcb" in "" even though it was found
This application failed to start because no Qt platform plugin could be initialized. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

Available platform plugins are: wayland-org.kde.kwin.qpa, eglfs, linuxfb, minimal, offscreen, vnc, wayland-egl, wayland, wayland-xcomposite-egl, wayland-xcomposite-egl, xcb.

I'm not sure exactly what I **** up. It's hard to look this up on the internet because people are getting it for different reasons than I am.

If it helps, I'm on a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon. KDE neon 5.17

Hi,

After installing KDE aside with Gnome Desktop environment I have the same issue.

I may have deleted some package, did you find any solution to repair your environment ?

Thanks !
