Clipboard behaviour after update

Tue Feb 18, 2020 8:45 pm
Hi,

Just updated my Neon installation and the clipboard behaviour changed in such a way that anything I select ends up being copied. It's driving me crazy, especially because a lot of what I'm doing is move/replace (aka. cut/*select*/delete/paste). Quick google search or 2 was fruitless, the clipboard widget doesn't have settings and couldn't find anything in system settings.

Would appreaciate some help. Thanks.

Same here. This bug is really driving me insane! I cannot just do CTRL+C and CTRL+V anymore. I have to select, right click copy and then manually paste. That's not something you can work with long term. :(

Btw: I'm using Arch and Plasma.

Selecting "Prevent empty clipboard" in configuration seems to circumvent the problem for now. Got that from another thread.

Finally found the only way to get to clipboar settings (right click on the widget)

There is a "ignore selection" option that got unticked. Selecting it again solves the issue.

Now I'm wondering though, what exactly does the "Prevent empty clipboard" one do?
