Dependency problem

Sat Mar 07, 2020 5:55 pm
Is there a dependency problem with libqca-qt5-2? Last upgrade removed some important packages as kmail, okular, neon-all due to a unmet version of libqca-qt5-2: it is required 2.3.0 while 2.1.3 is installed.
This is the error message I get if, for example, I try to install okular from dev unstable:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
okular : Depends: libqca-qt5-2 (>= 2.3.0+p18.04+git20200229.0106) but 2.1.3-2ubuntu2 is to be installed

I also had a dependency problem after an update today (07/Mar/2020). I heavily use kdevelop and after the update today kdevelop was no longer installed due to a broken package kdevplatform55-libs.

Having looked into it more several KDE programs are missing, the most important for me being K-Mail and kdevelop.

Today's update certainly seems to have broken a load of KDE programs.

If I try to install kdevelop using apt, here is the result:

sudo apt install kdevelop

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies.
kdevelop : Depends: kdevplatform55-libs but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

As you can see libqca-qt5-2 is mentioned.

Looks like a newer version of libqca-qt5-2 (>= 2.3.0) is required but all that's available is 2.1.3-2ubuntu2 ?

The following packages have unmet dependencies.
libkasten4okteta2controllers0 : Depends: libqca-qt5-2 (>= 2.3.0) but 2.1.3-2ubuntu2 is to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

Any quick solution to this, I need to get kdevelop working again by tomorrow.
