I've been facing a very bad problem, VLC is always closing after trying to open a video file. I did a new installation and the problem continues. The problem happens with other players. I have already installed the VCL via SNAP and it improves a little more still the same problem continues.

Please include more details about your system, such as what linux distro and what Plasma, Qt and VLC versions you are running (such information can be found in the About System app).

Try running VLC from within konsole and post whatever output VLC spits out.

Was it working before? What changes may have been made to the system since it was last working (e.g. any updates applied)?
