Hi. I have been using Ubuntu since about 2008. Tried Mint a few years back. Started looking for something that did not use 1.7 GB of memory just at start up. It seemed that Neon was a good contender. Installed, and found it to be so. I found many other things about Neon that I like. I would like to keep this distro and work with it. However , I have encountered a number of problems and I'm not sure if I will be capable of overcoming them.
1. VLC refuses to end and continues to work in the background. When I right click and choose end... still it won't comply. I need to send kill instruction.
2. I have a huge number of kworkers operating and have had bad experience with them in the past using 100% CPU. My habit is to use Sys Mon always in the background to check on what is interfering with computer performance.
3. I tried to use ONLY office editor and found that it would take 5 or 6 seconds to take any typing, even in the save window.
4. Occasionally the system will not accept keyboard input. Complete mystery.
5. Gwen sometimes opens when I am trying to use Dolphin... This may be my unfamiliarity with the system.
I am not skilled enough to use the bug report so I hope for a response re- my concerns

Oh. Something else that is bothersome is that kworker cpu usage is "unknown" ! With my old sysmon in Ubuntu I never once had an unknown cpu usage.
Yes the problem was like this from the beginning, Install is only a few days old.
VLC problem solved After uninstalling and reinstalling, the problem remained for the first uninstall.
Then ......I noticed that I could choose a different version from a different source/repository. Tried that and voila .. VLC no longer refuses to end when closed. This was blocking any future use of VLC until killed!
Source of VLC app that did not work for me is..

This looks likes good. I can remember in the past i've choosen an faulty ISO. The system was not useable. Maybe this is the problem. Normaly Neon is running fine. We have it here in whole office (about 10 computers) and also @customer.
