i confirm the problem was resolved with the latest release neon-user-20200612-1753
I just installed it in my PC and in virtualBox and everything is OK

I've managed to get it installed, but it crashed, at installing grub. This happened with both the user & the LTS edition. Fortunately because I dual boot I was able to boot into my XFCE install, update-grub, then login to Neon & manually install Grub.

Can Confirm neon-user-20200612-1753 it's ok now, installed on virtualbox and my PC with checked updates and multimedia codecs, etc
