Hey,

first I don't know if this is right forum for this topic.

I do have a problem with my KDE Neon distribution. Since some time I get high CPU temperature (above the high limit) and in the System Monitor I get kidle_inj processes which aim to cool down the CPU. Today, using the intel_gpu_top I found out that the problem correlates with the GPU 'render busy' 'GAM task' for my i915 3rd Gen Core processor Graphics Controller.

I also have found out that the problem correlates with how many windows open I have. E.g. closing the Firefox window can reduce the 'render busy' and 'GAM task' percentages and thus cool the CPU.

I'd like to add that I haven't have this problem before, only since some time.

Any ideas how to deal with it?c
