My NVidia GPU has been giving me trouble for a while so I removed it with the intention of using the integrated Intel GPU. Here is the output of my inxi -Gx:
Code: Select all
Graphics:  Card: Intel Xeon E3-1200 Processor Family Integrated Graphics Controller
           bus-ID: 00:02.0
           Display Server: x11 (X.Org 1.19.6 )
           drivers: modesetting (unloaded: fbdev,vesa)
           Resolution: 1280x1024@60.02hz, 1280x1024@60.02hz
OpenGL: renderer: N/A version: N/A Direct Render: N/A
Now I'm running with software rendering and cannot figure out how to enable graphic acceleration.

Also have had the issue
Code: Select all
ksmserver-logout-greeter closed unexpectedly
and
Code: Select all
ksplashqml closed unexpectedly
even at one point:
Code: Select all
Plasma Closed Unexpectedly

I've read that this is a known bug in Ubuntu when changing video cards, but have not found a workaround yet. Is there anything I can do to get graphics acceleration with the integrated Intel GPU? Or am I going to have to limp along with software rendering until I do a fresh install of the new Neon?
