Hello, I have an update from friday that says it will remove plasma-desktop in order to install multiple packages but none of them are the plasma desktop to reinstall. I have tried the update and i lose sddm and everything!! Luckily i have a clonezilla backup. Just though i'd ask why this is happening. Will NOT update for the foreseeable future

Assuming you are using KDE Neon User Edition? (this section of the forum is not distro specific)
It could be a few things, from a set of updates not yet fully uploaded to the archive at the time, to funky third party repos/PPAs one has added. \ Have you refreshed and tried again? If you are not sure, you can post any errors you see running the command

Update to this topic. The updates are now working. I left it for a couple of days and took the plunge. Everything is fine must have been a botched update as i didnt change anything. Thanks anyway
