Make Caja Default File Manager

Mon Jun 29, 2020 12:05 pm
Hi,
I am sure Dolphin suits many people and is an excellent file manager.

Unfortunately, I find it irritating and prefer Caja. For me, Caja is less cluttered, simpler to use, and importantly it executes programs without the bother of using bash commands in the konsole.

Under Settings-Default Applications I have Caja set. But KDENeon ignores this so that all file searches open with Dolphin. It sits there on the taskbar. If I want to use Caja (always) I must request to use an alternative file manager, then type in 'caja'.

There has to be an easier way!

I'd be grateful for advice.
