I upgraded to KDE Neon 20.04 and now the Built-in Analog audio device and digital device are both missing, though the built-in analog and digital output devices are detected by the alsa utils, just not the pulse audio utils. Something did apparently break, but I'm trying to figure out where it is.
I've completely purged and reinstalled the pulseaudio system, but the built-in analog and digital outputs are not detected by pulseaudio. Booting into Windows 10 on the same machine, I verified the built-in audio was working OK so it wasn't a hardware failure. Output of sudo fuser -v /dev/snd/*
Output of aplay -lL:
Output of pacmd list-cards (HDA Intel analog and digital are not listed)

I have had to go to the "Audio - System Settings" -> "Advanced" tab and select the "HiFi" profile to fix no audio devices in tray.
Edit: actually it was my old script fault. |

Using KDE Neon 5.22.
For selecting the HMDI audio output: - System Setting => Audio => Configure (bottom right corner) => Select "Digital Audio (HDMI)" from drop down list |
