It's been a few days now and I'm still not getting the 20.04 upgrade popup.
What's up with that?

Ditto...any way to force it (nothing I've tried has worked)? Which includes apt dist-upgrade and do-release-upgrade.

Anyone? Anything?
Edit: Ok, after a couple of days of no response on this thread, I finally did the 'do-update-release -d' and it appears to be upgrading to Fossa.
While not an approved method, I would think the end result would be the same. The question of why it never picked up the release being available is now mostly moot for me.

I am not getting the popup either and using the command line does not work after I have updated my system already.
Here is a set of Konsole messages:

Checking for a new Ubuntu release
Please install all available updates for your release before upgrading.

How do you suggest proceeding?

Well, after scouring the internet for solutions to this problem, I tried 3 different ones. Of course, I had a Redo Rescue disk image in case something went wrong. Each "solution" borked my install. I finally gave up and installed using the new Neon iso. It took me a whole day to restore all my apps and settings. Very frustrating. I wish Neon would go with a rolling release on everything.

Related Note : Redo Rescue is a great program for creating and restoring images. I found it after having problems using TimeShift. For the longest time (when I was Mint user) I swore by TimeShift, but recently my son had many problems with it after switching to KDE Neon. I no longer trust it (when using KDE). I still think Macrium is the best in class for this, but it doesn't have a Linux version, and Redo Rescue is almost as good. RR doesn't have a way to access individual files (that I know of), which puts it a notch below Macrium.

Me too.
I repeated the Discover update several times, I also have ran the commands "sudo pkcon refresh" and "sudo pkcon update" (no packages need to be updated), session logut and login but the popup with "Upgrade avaible" don't appear.
Any idea or official workaround?

I updated 3 machines already, but this one is always returning "Please install all available updates for your release before upgrading." every single time...

I just solved the problema by running:

sudo apt list --upgradeable

It happens that I had some packages that were marked as "never update" and they were holding the upgrade.
Remove them and TA-DA: upgrade going on as I type!

Run command "sudo apt list --upgradeable".
I've not packeges marked as "never update".

I upgraded from Xenial 2 years ago. Could this be the problem?

I'm not even sure how found this, but running:
qdbus org.kde.DistroReleaseNotifier / org.kde.DistroReleaseNotifier.Poll

Got the popup to display for me, and then I was able to upgrade.
