I've just made the last update, and I was not pleased (at least immediately, cf. the further part of my post).

First - of course after the update the sound stopped working. Yes, I've read the forum before, so I knew that I should just open the Konsole and type "sudo apt purge timidity-daemon && sudo reboot", but still - this issue is known for Ubuntu since April (four months!!!) and the fact that nobody has bothered to fix it is appalling...

Second - my printer stopped working. It's and old, but fully functional Epson Stylus SX435W. Yes, I was able to solve the problem by installing the proprietary driver from official Epson website, but still deleting the working driver from the Linux base and replacing it with another generic driver that would not work no matter what I did was not cool at all (OK, I know, the Ubuntu guys are to blame, not the KDE ones)...

On the other hand I have an impression that the new system is more responsive on my old (2012) computer and that memory leaks that I could observe with Bionic Beaver are definitely gone in Focal Fossa. And more important: I still remember my update from Windows XP to Windows 7. My printer, scanner and camera stopped working and there was no way to fix it, I had to buy new devices. I prefer one thousand times Linux, where maybe some devices were borked after the update, but I was able to fix it very rapidly.

You are doing great job, people! I love you! Even if you fail sometimes... ;-)
