Good Afternoon,
I had just completed setting up KDE Neon 5.19 on my sister's laptop. She is not an experienced Linux user. I want her to be able to install updates and patches, but I don't want her to do the Upgrade to 20.04 thinking that it is just another update. I have to other end-users that I have set up Neon machines for as well. I don't have the time to deal with the problems that can occur with these upgrades, and I have already noticed posts regarding upgrade troubles. Can anyone hear point me in the right direction? Thanking you in advance. Regards, Tony |

In Neon, it will be done the same way as in Ubuntu:
Open the file /etc/update-manager/release-upgrades, and edit it as described in its contents: change
Do note that at some point in the very near future, there won't be any plasma related updates to the 18.04 base. There will still be Ubuntu related system updates for a few years, but you will not get any KDE related ones once Neon stops building packages for 18.04.
