can't login after fresh install in vbox on macbook pro

Host: macOS Catalina 10.15.6 on MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019)
VirtualBox Version 6.1.12 r139181 (Qt5.6.3) Tried a few times with neon-developer-20200815-2114.iso(unstable developer edition), and failed to login after the fresh install. On the 3rd attempt, I really typed my password in other fields to check I didn't type wrong there. |

There seems to be a problem with the ISOs (user edition is the only one working right now). I installed user and changed repos to unstable and it works ok.
in: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/neon.list I changed both lines from /user to /unstable then check for updates with discover.

tried with neon-user-20200815-2050.iso, it works fine now.
