Hi everybody,
for quite a while now plasma takes a long time to log in - somewhere between 20-30s, which is annoying. Any hints how I could start troubleshooting this problem, maybe logging processes after login? One thing I already found out that baloo-file is using a lot of disk activity, and akonadi autostarts as well and does a lot of stuff. I don't know, though, how to prevent akonadi from automatic startup (it didn't do this before, but started about a year ago or so). Is there any way to exactly log what happens right after login until the desktop is ready for use? Thanks in advance! |

Some more information about your exact Plasma version, system specs and distribution might be helpful...
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
