Hello everyone,

I'm using a dual boot Windows 10 / KDE neon setup for some years now and recently upgraded from neon based on ubuntu 18.04 to the one based on 20.04 (fresh installation). Everything works fine, however I have some small but annoying problems with my bluetooth mouse. Before, it worked absolutely flawlessly but after upgrading to 20.04 base, it works directly after login but after about 30-40 seconds, it freezes for roughly 5 seconds and then, works again without any further problems. The same issue appears if I run
Code: Select all
sudo /etc/init.d/bluetooth restart

again it stops working for a few seconds directly after the command (as expected) but once the connection is reinitialized, after 30-40 seconds it breaks again and after additional 5 seconds, it keeps working without any further issues.

It is not really a show stopper but still annoying. Is there any option to fix this?

Thanks in advance!

I have just started to use a BlueTooth keyboard and had similar issues with new Neon KDE. I did a lot of changes including

Code: Select all
FastConnectable = true

in BlueTooth settings. After all the changes I did in the BlueTooth settings the keyboard works flawlessly except that it takes half a second to restart when left to its own devices. But it autoconnects fast even if left untouched overnight. If you go for the whole set of changes--now having been used daily for weeks with no problem whatsoever on an Asus laptop including with the most updated KDE Neon as pr October 1, 2020, they are all listed in my Forum response here:

Good luck!

Thanks for your response! I tried to set all the parameters according to your explanations, still the connection issue appears.... From all my testing I guess that the issue cannot be fixed by editing configuration files. I think something in the source code between 18.04 (everything working) and 20.04 (bug appears) caused it which has to be fixed to resolve it. Still appreciating any hint that's worth testing 8) ;)

I added the bluetooth widget to my desktop and then turned on bluetooth!
