Hi guys,
this may not actually be related to the subject, bit if not its highly correlated.

I was changing the screen resolution in my VM and rebooted after some updates to a black screen with a cursor after login.

The system does actually seem to be functioning because if I start typing on the desktop I can bring up konsole or Kpat and they work fine.

The logs are saying that pretty much all of the icons are missing, so it may be related to that.

I have just done a full apt update and upgrade, but the situation is still the same.

Can I recover from this or do I just remake the VM instead?
