Hello,
neon says that there's upgrade. Fine. I've click on the icon. Dicover opens and proceed with upgrade. Discover says something about exiting with error 24. I then run in terminal "sudo apt-get update && sudo apt full-upgrade" to see what errors it gives me. here it is: ---- Configurando linux-image-5.4.0-52-generic (5.4.0-52.57) ... Procesando disparadores para linux-image-5.4.0-52-generic (5.4.0-52.57) ... /etc/kernel/postinst.d/dkms: * dkms: running auto installation service for kernel 5.4.0-52-generic ...done. /etc/kernel/postinst.d/initramfs-tools: update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-5.4.0-52-generic Error 24 : Write error : cannot write compressed block E: mkinitramfs failure cpio 141 lz4 -9 -l 24 update-initramfs: failed for /boot/initrd.img-5.4.0-52-generic with 1. run-parts: /etc/kernel/postinst.d/initramfs-tools exited with return code 1 dpkg: error al procesar el paquete linux-image-5.4.0-52-generic (--configure): el subproceso instalado paquete linux-image-5.4.0-52-generic script post-installation devolvió el código de salida de error 1 Se encontraron errores al procesar: linux-image-5.4.0-52-generic E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) ----- i did try "sudo apt install --fix-missing" and "sudo apt install --fix-broken" and tried again the upgrade, I still get the errors. I'm now afraid to reboot in case neon is now in a weird state. help. thanks. |

hello,
found the solution. There wasn't enough space on the /boot partition. Made a cleanup as mentionned in ( https://askubuntu.com/questions/1253347 ... -20-04-lts ) and all is good. |
